Introduction to Sewing



Learn the basics of your sewing machine; how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, check the tension, and use a straight and zig zag stitch.  Create a small project while learning basic sewing skills.  Make a Simple Table Runner or a Reversible Tote Bag with your new or renewed confidence in sewing.

Materials Included: Fabric for the small project bag will be provided.
Requirements: Sewing machine, rotary cutter, ruler, fabric, thread, fabric pencil, scissors or thread snips, pins, ruler, seam ripper. You can choose to start a Table Runner or a Tote Bag. You will need the following for these projects: Table Runner - Top fabric 1/3yd; Back fabric 1/2yd Tote Bag - 1/2yd of two fabrics; 1.5yd webbing for handles
